At our Golf Galaxy locations, our mission is to be the Trusted Advisor for Golf enthusiasts at all skill levels by fitting, teaching and equipping them to play their best Golf. The
Golf Equipment Sales Lead is responsible for maximizing sales by accommodating and educating athletes on all processes and programs related to golf services. Golf Equipment Sales Lead uses both experience and knowledge to build customer relationships and drive sales in services related areas, such as simulator, putting green, Special Orders, Pre-Owned, club fitting and repair programs etc.

Golf Equipment Sales Lead Duties:

  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with athletes and gains their trust and respect by using diplomacy and tact; ensures that athletes are greeted and acknowledged' offers customers assistance as needed or requested.

  • Aides athletes by ascertaining their needs and directing them to the golf services area that most effectively meets their needs.

  • Ensures each athlete receives exceptional service leading to maximized sales by finding the right products, providing creative solutions and resulting in dramatically improved performance

  • Demonstrate knowledge of all vendors equipment including heads, shafts, and grips

  • Support store services sales by performing athlete club fittings and repairs.

  • Is a certified club fitter that provides excellent direct and indirect customer service to align with company programs.

  • Making equipment recommendations tailored to the athlete.

  • Assists the store management team with general supervision in the store accordance with Company policies and procedures including opening and closing the store and coverage as assigned - Key Carrier.

  • Oversee the sales process from start to finish including closing the customer, submitting the order through Salesforce, communicating with our operations and build teams to ensure product is built accurately and delivered in a timely manner, and following-up with the customer after the sale

  • Increase store revenue and profitability through a proven process

  • Complies with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding store operations.

All Teammates are required to adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Additionally, as business needs arise, other tasks may become necessary.

  Qualifications

Success Profile:

  • 1 - 3 years of retail expereince; Golf industry experience preferred
  • Time management skills
  • Abilty to prepare routine administrative paperwork 
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner and listen attentively to others
  • Passion for Golf
