Description

The Manager of Digital Analytics is responsible for overseeing testing & reporting for digital marketing channels. This position will be responsible for developing valid test and control strategies to measure the effectiveness and incrementally of digital marketing channels. This position will also pioneer the discovery, testing and implementation of new and innovative methods to improve digital measurement and audience management in order to identify strategies which result in measureable financial returns to the business.

Oversee digital marketing testing & performance

  • Lead the testing and performance reporting for all digital channels including but limited to social media, SEM, affiliates and email
  • Interface with key digital marketing partners in order to develop testing strategies and plans, including but not limited to digital marketing agencies, Facebook and Google
  • Develop and validate control and testing strategies to provide robust and significant results
  • Develop and execute testing methods that measure the incrementally of digital marketing tactics
  • Develop and gain alignment to key performance indicators for digital channels
  • Manage digital testing analysts including developing team members for increased levels of responsibilities and growth

Translate digital testing results into viable strategies and actionable insights

  • Communicate results and implications to marketing partners and leadershi.
  • Set a cadence of timely results hind-sights and strategic input during planning cycles
  • Utilize media mix modeling to evaluate and recommend optimizations for digital marketing strategies
  • Gain buy in from cross functional partners to develop analytically informed strategies to improve the ROI of digital marketing
  • Assist in the translation of strategies into actionable and effective digital marketing tactics

Identify, vet and implement innovative digital testing capabilities to enable future growth

  • Keep informed of emerging technologies and testing capabilities in the digital space
  • Explore capabilities that can link digital marketing activities to traffic and conversion
  • Explore capabilities to measure and manage the overlap of marketing touch points across segments and audiences
  • Identify and explore digital testing innovations in a fast paced retail environment
  • Partner with Technology to implement capabilities which enable faster, more efficient, and more accurate execution of campaign targeting efforts. Build capabilities which expand and enhance analytical capabilities

Support broader Dick's Sporting Goods CRM and marketing analytics department as needed

  • Provide key leadership support for, and input into, market mix effectiveness analyses
  • Conducting market basket / affinity analysis to inform product assortment within marketing materials and campaign targeting decisions
  • Conduct other ad hoc analysis and tests as required
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • Must have an analytical mindset and know how to tell a story from data
  • Must have experience with SQL or R
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Experience in digital marketing would be ideal
