The Manager of Trend will lead the creative concept process for a segment of the product assortment across the DSG private brands. Core responsibilities of the role include researching the macro market to curate and create the trend and lifestyle direction for the upcoming season. Once creating the direction, it is the responsibility of the Manager of Trend to present the seasonal trend with regards to print, color, fabric, and silhouette to cross functional partners and leadership across the Product Development division. The Manager of Trend will act as a thought leader with the Design, Product Management and Sourcing teams to support the creation of thoughtful, relevant and trend-right content for all touch points from product ideation to completion. In this role, the Manager of Trend will support the shaping of the branding direction of DSG through trend research on all platforms by remaining current on industry trends and the competitive landscape to forecast and identify upcoming trends.
The ideal candidate for the role is a seasoned product and consumer expert, with relevant experience in the product categories he/she will lead (athletic, outdoor, golf. In addition, the ideal candidate must demonstrate global market and trend awareness, the ability to interpret trend in a meaningful way for a target athlete and the ability to turn research into actionable strategies. This role requires strong presentation skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, a strategic taste level and the ability to influence both up and down the organization.

Bachelor's degree in Consumer Science, Marketing, Design or a related field
7 - 10 years
3+ years in consumer behavior or product development roles in Design, Creative Product Direction or Market Research
