Assistant Manager - Inventory

Major Duties:
  • Receive shipments and ensure both quality and quantity
  • Trace, track and expedite purchase processes
  • Ensure accuracy of all inventories; review bills, invoices and purchase orders
  • Create and maintain contact with vendors and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Maintain and manage delivery schedules
  • Reports to General Manager

Skills & Requirements
Requirements for Consideration:

Must have at least 2-3 years inventory management experience in a larger volume retail/food environment and:

• Inventory management to include maintenance of physical inventory balances, reconciliation of inventory variances, merchandise control procedures, proper marking/storing of merchandise, optimization of stock availability,

• Basic understanding of inventory systems and software including hand held scanners

• P&L and other supporting reports management experience to include proper allocation of costs, adequate inventory levels;

• Excellent customer service and communication skills, strong leadership & interpersonal skills;

• Proficient computer skills, to include Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

• Organizational skills

• ServSafe certification required or certification must be obtained within 90 days of entry on duty.

• Prefer Associates or related degree
