Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area.
  • Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
  • Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
  • Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
  • Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device.
  • Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all Company, Federal, and State safety rules and regulations.
  • Read labels, i.e. weights, product descriptions, units of measure.
  • Complete operational safety inspections on equipment and report all defects/safety hazards.
  • Check secondary book for proper product and correct receiving date.
  • Maintain productivity quota set by management.
  • Hand stack cases from pallet in pick slot onto secondary pallet placing in location following date rotation, calculate numbers and weights.
  • Attend all training sessions.
  • Perform maintenance duties as requested by supervisor.
  • Willing to work weekends, holidays, overtime as requested by supervisor.
  • Must wear non-slip, hard leather uppers, boot or shoe.

  • Ability to operate a stand up forklift
  • Ability to operate an electric pallet jack
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis
