SUMMARY

Responsible for direct interactions with the customers to ensure proper care is taken at every touchpoint of the customer experience either via phone, email, or in person with attention to detail, timeliness, care in processing of credits, scheduling of trucks, and general communication in accordance with company standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Must present a customer-oriented image of professionalism and service satisfaction while adhering to company policies and guidelines
  • Answering and addressing customer concerns, comments, questions and requests via phone, email, or in-person
  • Scheduling incoming and outgoing trucks, deliveries, and/or transports; general logistical support working closely with the Receiving Manager
  • Issuing credits for delivery errors
  • Taking telephone orders
  • Data entry utilizing customer service systems
  • Performing detailed research as needed to resolve complex issues
  • Process credits and/or rebills and file customer invoices
  • Contacting customers regarding any recalled products
  • Contacting customers regarding any missing orders
  • Match credits to load sheets for credit verification
  • Paperwork filing
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, especially to the internal sales force, any issues or problems which may impact customer service levels

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Back-up support for the receptionist and transportation
  • Performs special projects as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time; work is primarily performed from a seated position
  • Regular and frequent use of visual and mental acuity and cognitive reasoning
  • Frequent use of manual dexterity through typing and answering multi-line phones
