DescriptionThe successful candidate will act as the subject matter expert within the organization and champion the use of data to help drive strategic decisions regarding the e-commerce business. The role requires a candidate with a commitment to continued learning and the ability to act proactively to improve web strategies and procedures. The role requires a strong understanding of both the customer experience and the operational data collected for optimizing the experience.
QualificationsAnalyze: Complete short-term and mid-term analyses to answer ad-hoc business questions and/or help inform longer term strategic direction. To complete these analyses, the senior analyst will need to work on data acquisition, data preparation including stitching together data from disparate sources to tell a comprehensive story, and presentation of key findings. Deliverables may take the shape of email communications or presentations and interested audiences will range in seniority from peers to executives.
Data Collection: Work with the technical development teams to support the implementation of new data collection. Define and document business requirements. Solutions could span pixels placed on the webstore or backend message streams. Complete user-acceptance testing to confirm that the code fulfills the requirements once the solutions have been developed and passed initial QA testing.
Reporting Solution Design: Serve as the "product" owner of reports, working to drive adoption, usage and application to business processes. Conceive new functionality & capabilities in the reporting to increase visibility or improve ease of use. Define requirements for new reports for the technical development teams thru collaboration with business stakeholders. Develop reporting prototypes and self-service reporting environments.
Client Liaison: Serve as the web analytics single point of contact for various teams within the business. Lead formal and informal training sessions with client groups to enable clients to answer questions via self-service tools. Answer ad hoc business and/or support questions.
Project Management: Oversee the timelines for analytics projects spanning numerous resources. Identify upcoming obstacles that could impact late or incomplete deliverables. Escalate issues to leadership for decision making.
Bachelor's Degree - Marketing, Economics, Finance
5-7 years of experience
