Job Description: The Sales Associate generates sales through customer engagement and supporting a consistent brand experience. Works as a member of the store team to lead a positive customer and brand experience. Assists in operational activities that generate sales. Displays a "Customer Focused" mindset at all times Suggests a GapCard to every customer, informing them of the benefits Contributes to a positive work environment by consistently treating all Gap Brand customers and employees with respect Promotes a safe working and shopping environment to maximize the customer experience Stays current on financial goals and priorities set forth by the management team, as it relates to the customer Communicates information to customers about the quality, value and style of Gap products, such as fit, fabric, price and shrinkage Provides courteous, helpful customers service throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Fitting Room, and CashWrap. Contributes to a positive work environment. Offers suggestions to the leadership team to improve sales and operational processes Handles customer situations in compliance with policy and procedures; escalates issues as appropriate Supports shipment receiving and processing to customer-ready standards. Does floor replenishment. Enforces all Loss Prevention policies, and reports violations Reports to Customer Experience Manager, Brand Experience Manager, and all subordinate supervisory personnel Collaborates effectively across both the Customer Experience and Brand Experience work centers Exhibits peer coaching and facilitates training of new Sales Associate Job Requirements: Excellent selling and time management skills Ability to delegate and prioritize tasks and responsibilities Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate High School graduate or equivalent Six months of customer service and previous retail experience preferred Experience handling cash preferred Ability to safely lift and carry 30 lbs.
