The DVP, Multi-Channel Customer Engagement is responsible for the planning and execution of initiatives designed to dramatically increase in-store engagement of online properties by both customers and associates. This includes using our existing store technologies and assets along with exploration of new mediums including items such as wireless computing devices and customer-owned mobile devices. To be successful, the candidate must be a strong analytical and strategic thinker, must be able to navigate a highly-matrixed organization and deliver results on accelerated time tables. The candidate must also be comfortable with nebulous problems and managing others across a host of dotted line relationships. The candidate should have a strong background in project management, and prior eCommerce experience is desired. This candidate must be an active agent for change, having demonstrated a strong ability to drive new business models and initiatives from start to finish, while showing strength in working with field associates on implementing solutions.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Initiative Development (20%) - Diagnose existing opportunities to drive up in-store customers and associate engagement with our non-store assets - Develop strategies for capturing those opportunities and initiatives to execute them effectively in the store environment - Define, gather and document key requirements for all initiatives - Anticipate bottlenecks, provide management escalation, project prioritization, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and drive initial deployments. - Work collaboratively across groups to secure buy-in and drive issues to resolution - Build strong relationships across the Customer Direct business functions, the Retail Services and IT organization - Act as an agent to drive cross-functional buy-in and organizational change management Initiative Implementation and Execution (50%) - Implement test phases and rollout phases of strategic initiatives - Define reporting requirements for new capabilities - Analyze initiative results and iterate components rapidly based on results - Be able to provide regular project tracking and status to evaluate progress Financial Management (30%) - Responsible for the achievement of store-to-web (S2W) financial goals, totaling over $100MM in 2009 - Develop initial business cases for strategic initiatives related to multi-channel engagement - Test initiatives, secure rollout funding and execute strategic initiatives within budget KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To be successful in this role, the individual must have had a track record in managing business initiatives from conception to implementation to delivery. Also, given the breadth of functions and business required to execute across the SHC enterprise, ideally, this person should have had a diversity of job experience or exposure to store operations, marketing, IT and ecommerce. - 5 years management experience, including several years executing across broad teams and demonstrated ownership of financial results - Ability to clearly communicate with and present to a wide variety of audiences, including senior management. - Capable of analyzing, evaluating and recommending changes to complex processes, financial and mathematical models - Ability to thrive in a matrixed organization - BA/BS Degree - MBA preferred
