We operate a growing chain of stores with locations in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, New York and Vermont. Store Management Opportunities - We allow our management teams to run their own business with a high degree of ownership. - We also offer less planograming and more entrepreneurial decision- making at Ocean State Job Lot. Job Requirements: - Candidates must have related retail experience and enjoy a fast paced sales environment. (Minimum 2 + years experience) - Understanding of retail merchandising practices, including concepts such as -item driven merchandising- - Ability to manage, motivate, and develop store staff. - Strong planning and organizational skills - Ability to anticipate, recognize and address issues - Newly hired managers are expected to complete a structured 4-week training program prior to placement and can expect hands-on exposure to every phase of the business.
