Position Description

NETREX Management Transition Exchange - AT&T's Networking Engineer entry level hiring program. The NETREX team is comprised of entry level graduates with varying Networking, Engineering and IT skill sets hired in the following locations: New Jersey and Georgia. The goal of this strategic program is to enable participants to combine their coursework with the skills and experience essential to gain a broad experience across the Global Network Operations organization (GNO).

Responsible for providing technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support who are diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing network/video systems. Manages assigned projects to ensure timely completion, efficient use of resources, and appropriate technology to meet commitments. Implements changes or improvements to new or existing products and features, including test and analysis. Coordinates with and interacts as an advocate to the supplier to resolve escalated customer service requests. Manages liaison activities between suppliers and end users for maintenance activities. Monitors network/video element performance for adherence to company requirements to ensure that suppliers are addressing company needs in a timely manner. Delivers on site technical assistance when required to correct or prevent catastrophic service loss. Resolve problems, conduct training, and implement temporary or emergency procedures associated with departmental usage of systems in order to provide 100% system availability. Responsible for analysis and trouble shooting network/video problems. Coordinate and perform technical reviews to identify and correct areas of technical vulnerability and deviations from corporate standards that ensure network reliability and protect corporate assets. Review scope of work documentation, recommending additions and changes necessary to successfully complete a project. Create and maintain administration standards and policies with respect to the user, development, test, training, and production environments. Prepares project and personal plans and reviews work with supervisor regularly to verify progress and adherence to objectives and standards.

Position Qualifications

Understanding of IP Network; Troubleshooting skills

Required:
BA or BS degree in
o Computer Science
o Electrical Engineering
o Computer Engineering
o Information Technology, with an emphasis on Networking
o Business, with a Minor in IT or applicable (Electrical Engineering)
o Mathematics
o Industrial Engineering
o Operations Research

• GPA above 3.2 is highly preferred. Minimum 3.0 required.
• Graduation date between 6/08 and 12/09
• Good communication skills are a must.
• Must be a US Citizens or Permanent Resident.
