Job Title: PT Bagger - bloom Job Description: To provide prompt, friendly, reliable service to our customers by using proper bagging techniques and by offering accurate location of item information. To be friendly, courteous, and cooperative with other store associates. Responsible for maintaining standards according to the Front End Standard Practice Manual. Maximize sales through extraordinary customer service. The PT Bagger responsible for the following. This list is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed to meet business demands. Always has a smile and provide prompt, friendly, bagging service. Always bags items according to size and weight, taking care not to damage fragile items such as bread, eggs, etc. When selecting the size and type of bag considers the transportation needs of the the product, the convenience of the customer, and the cost to the company. Uses the customer's name whenever possible. Checks prices quickly and accurately. When customers are present, avoids personal conversations with other associates. Checks the bottom of each cart for items. Asks all customers if they would like to use parcel pick-up service. Performs prompt parcel pick-up service. Keeps entrance and checkstand area neat and clean. Keeps checkstand properly supplied with bags. Maintains alertness at all times in the store. Is aware of and helpful to customers, providing directions to items when asked. Learns and properly performs other tasks assigned, including operating a register, keeping sales floor clean and free of spills and other obstacles. When on duty, wears the bloom uniform, complete with name badge. Has a neat and clean appearance, according to the bloom dress code. Finds more efficient ways to do the job and seeks to reduce costs and improve labor productivity. Responsible for the observation and correction of all unsafe conditions that would cause associate or customer accidents. Essential Skills: Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions. |
