Job Title: Seafood Coordinator - bloom

Job Description:
To comply with Bloom s policies, standards, security measures and regulations. Proper performance of the duties and responsibilities of this position contributes to and ensures achievement of proper Seafood conditions. Responsible for reading, understanding, and following all guidelines in the Seafood Standard Practice Manual. Maximize sales through excellent customer service. Serve as a role model for customer service and other vital behaviors, and instill this value in all associates.

The Seafood Coordinator is the only person with direct daily responsibility over the Seafood Department, and is often the only person in the Seafood Department for long time periods. Listed below are duties and responsibilities of the Seafood Coordinator. This list is not all inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed to meet business demands.

Maintains quality customer service. Schedules and trains Seafood Department associates. Orders product and maintains inventory control. Receives and handles the product. Maintains daily quality control and conditions of the department. Maintains a variety of product according to Bloom s standards. Supervises all associates in the Seafood Department. Enforces all Seafood policies. Follows and enforces Bloom's dress code. Prepares daily department records, including the seafood minimum variety list, shrink report, order control guides, checklists, and Workload Planner form. Processes product and maintains proper product level. Maintains daily sanitation of department. Maintains pricing, rotation, and price changes. Reduces Seafood according to Bloom standards. Finds more efficient ways to do the job and seeks to reduce costs and improve labor productivity. Responsible for the observation and correction of all
unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents.

Competencies Required: Ability to communicate with and direct associates. Ability to follow through on requests in a timely manner. Product knowledge in Seafood. Ability to operate all Seafood Department equipment: steamer, knife, and scale. Understanding of and the ability to clean and reassemble all equipment as part of the sanitation process. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to weigh, price, organize, and rotate product. Ability to meet Bloom's production standards as they change. Ability to maintain a knife grip to fillet fish. Ability to meet production standards established by Bloom. Ability to use the In-Store computer and scan system.
