JOB TITLE: Assistant Produce/Floral Manager - bloom JOB DESCRIPTION: This description is intended to outline the primary responsibilities, general nature, and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and competencies of the Assistant Produce/Floral Manager. The incumbent may be assigned other duties and responsibilities. JOB OBJECTIVE To provide customer service to our customers in the Produce/Floral Department. Proper performance of the duties and responsibilities of this position will contribute to and enhance achievement of proper Produce conditions. Responsible for maintaining standards according to the Produce Standard Practice Manual. Maximize sales through excellent customer service. REPORTING FUNCTION Reports to the Produce/Floral Manager. In their absence, reports to the Manager-on-Duty. SCOPE Occasionally provides direction to Produce/Floral Department associates. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assistant Produce/Floral Manager is responsible for the duties and responsibilities listed below. This list is not all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed to meet business demands. Maintains proper receiving, handling and production of product. Perform assigned stocking, culling, and rotation procedures in accordance with established standards. Maintains proper housekeeping and equipment handling and care. Maintains proper quality control and product level. Maintains proper quality and conditions of product. Provides total customer satisfaction. Prepare (trim, crisp, package, scale, etc.) all products according to established standards and quality goals. Perform all assigned cleaning functions in accordance with company policy Maintains proper pricing standards. Maintains a neat and clean appearance, according to the bloom dress code. Complies with scheduling and policy standards. Finds more efficient ways to do the job and seeks to reduce costs and improve labor productivity. Observes and corrects unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents. Follow, direct and coach assocites Looks for ways to increase sales. Essential Skills The Assistant Produce/Floral Manager must possess the following competencies: Ability to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs. 80% of the time and 70 lbs 20% of the time Ability to push or pull up to 2000 lbs. using a pallet jack Stand and walk 100% of the time Frequent reaching, grasping, bending and lifting produce items at or above waist level Tolerate working in extreme hot/cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time Use hands to operate controls, feel objects, and use tools to open and prepare products Handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials and food products Ability to rotate and organize product Ability to analyze situations, identify problems and implement solutions Ability to meet productivity standards established by bloom |
