 Job Description: Job Summary and Mission
This job contributes to Starbucks success by applying a thorough knowledge of the business needs and systems technology to identify, plan for, and design business and technical process improvements to application or database system(s) for a specific business unit or department to support the Company's operational performance and future growth. Provides overall business requirements and process consulting on moderately to highly complex projects. Coordinates business unit functional requirements and technical solutions with project teams, business and Information Technology (IT) partners to develop effective solutions. May coach and mentor less experienced analysts.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: - Creates new system documentation and develops training documentation.
- Develops business process, and system improvement plans that bridge business and system functionality in coordination with IT and other business units or departments. Works directly with the business unit to communicate business requirements, priorities and scope in conjunction with business goals. Manages project progress, work estimates, and solution delivery.
- Gathers, analyzes and documents business requirements for a major system enhancement or full system selection and implementation. May interpret business requirements to develop detailed functional system design specifications. Develops test plans and scripts to meaningfully assess solution conformance to requirements of internal and external customers. Manages testing of systems, applications, or system interfaces.
- May resolve and document system enhancement and production issues. Works closely with business systems analysts to resolve escalation issues from the business unit. Communicates issue resolution. May manage the production support effort on assigned projects. Provides short-term and post implementation support for new systems as needed.
Summary of Experience - Business system configuration (6 years)
- Business system specific application experience including ERP integration (6 years)
- Business system specific application experience including 3PL integration and WMS/Distribution Center experience (6 years)
- Process development and functional business experience (6 years)
- System maintenance and enhancement in specific business area, including system upgrades and software implementation (6 years)
- Project management (2 years)
