Overview:

A Commissioned Furniture Sales Associate's primary responsibility is to provide a high level of customer service by demonstrating advanced product knowledge and building quality customer relationships that result in increased sales and repeat business.

Key Accountabilities:

Demonstrates the Macy's standard of outstanding service in a clean, neat and easy to shop environment.
Practices suggestive selling, offering related items and accessories, driving multiple-unit sales.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of store products and services and uses this knowledge to build sales and enhance the level of customer service provided.
Properly executes all systems and point of sale procedures to ensure an efficient transaction.
Partners with selling team to maintains department merchandising and maintenance standards.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, fellow associates and management.
Equally shares operational responsibilities of department as customer traffic allows.
Achieves sales per hour minimum standard on a quarterly and seasonal basis.
Achieves the company standard for loyalty solicitation.

Skills Summary:

Previous selling experience, preferably in Furniture sales
Demonstrate the ability to build effective relationships, solve problems and impact and influence others.
